I have the honour to write yous few lines,
and same time I hope Sir, will excuse for taking this liberty
in doing so. Owing that I am a stranger in England and there's
nobody to do or to give me any assistance and I found it is
best for me to write to my Colonial Secretary to rendered
me such assistance.
As now the war is practically all over now
Sir, and I am expecting to be discharged from the Army at
anytime from this date, and now I am asking the Colonial
Secretary to render me an assistance, for which I am too
thankful for you Sir, as to see if the Colonial Secretary can
obliged me with a 2nd. Class passage to my entended wife and
as I have already made engagement for oneyear now and I
promised to get married to her when I returned from thess
front to England when the war is over, and now the war is all
over, and I entend to get married to her as soon as I return
to England, and after I shall like to take her to Hongkong
together with me back with my parents. If the Government
finds that's too heavy for the Government to provide to my
entended wife with a 2nd. Clase passage I shall be much
thankful if the Government will allow me with of the fare
and I shall try my very utmost to get the balance to make up
a second class passage to Ekong for my wife. Owing to my
present circumstances I am unable to pay a passage myself so I
am asking the Colonial Secretary to do me such favour.
regards to my own passage I know it is guaranteed by the
Government the only thing I want is a passage for my future
